It was just over a year ago when owners Jeff and
Cincy Thom brought Tayer IV to our shop.
Thayer IV is a 1950 Chris Craft hull #U-22-1802, and
probably the most iconic Chris Craft mahogany boat
ever built, thanks to her appearance in the 1981
Academy Awared-winning movie, "On Golden Pond."
Following Jeff's plan, our shipwrights restored
Thayer IV back to award-winning condition; and in
the process, preserved as much of the original wood
as possible. We would like to thank the Thom
Family for choosing Sunrise River Boatworks to
restore this historically significant boat, insuring
she will continue to be an icon for wooden boat
enthusiasts for many years to come! |

Our shops are located in Forest Lake, Nicollet and Winstead
Minnesota and are fully equipped to do anything from minor
projects thru major restorations. The controlled humidified
